B.E Biotechnology is a 4-year course. The biotechnology degree program includes a blended curriculum that encompasses the elements of Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics combined with lab work, Computer Applications, and Research. Biotechnology also utilizes these products for manufacturing purposes. Modern use of similar terms includes genetic engineering as well as cell- and tissue-culture technologies.
This degree programme in applied sciences amalgamates the facts from both Biological sciences and technology. This study utilizes the biological processes which include the study of microorganisms or knowledge of antibiotics and further implement them for various industrial purpose.

Career after B.E Biotechnology
After completing this course Pharmaceutical companies offer job opportunities for Biotechnology engineers. However, there are breweries, health care services, and environmental departments that also require biomedical engineers. The key responsibilities of a biotechnology engineer are to harness biological systems as a way of producing new products.
There are many emerging sectors of employment which are exclusive to biotechnology engineering. India is one of the largest pharmaceutical-producing countries in the world and hence, is the biggest source of employment in the BT industry. Besides, there are other industries too which offer jobs after the BT course.
There is a big chance to get the most paid and renowned employment opportunity in the area of Biotechnology in India as well as abroad. The typical range of remuneration for the diploma or similar course certified biotechnology engineers is around Rs 3 - 5 lakhs, and it increases with the qualification of undergraduate engineers, which is around Rs 8 - 10 lakhs.
